Message from the President

Dec. 15, 2023
Dear LMU Community:

I am saddened to share that Laila Panjawani, a business intelligence programmer analyst in Information Technology Services, died on Dec. 9, 2023, as the result of a car accident. She was 38 years old.

Ms. Panjawani joined LMU in February 2021. She was a valued member of the analytics and business intelligence team. In her role, she supported the team that evaluates and implements enterprise applications, infrastructure and tools, and best practices that enable access to and analysis of information to optimize decisions and performance of LMU’s technology.

She developed her strong programming and database background as a developer with File Time and T-Mobile, where she designed, developed, and performed various extract, transform, and load operations using Talend’s ETL functionality.

Ms. Panjawani earned her Master of Business Administration degree and a Graduate Certificate in information technology systems from DeVry University’s Keller School of Management in San Antonio, Texas, and her B.A. in sociology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

A private funeral service was held on Dec. 12, 2023, at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Tucker, Georgia. Ms. Panjawani had been living and working in Alabama while she assisted her mother, who was recovering from a car accident.

Please keep Laila, her husband, Amin Jiwani, their daughter, Aiza Jiwani, and her colleagues and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Timothy Law Snyder, Ph.D.
President
